SUMMER MALAWI TEAM
28 Unforgettable Days!
Are you looking for an opportunity to serve on a different continent this summer? Are you 18 to 30 years old? Are you longing to grow in your relationship with Jesus?
You are invited to join us and others this summer to proclaim Jesus in Malawi - a very poor country in southeast Africa. It is called "the warm heart of Africa" for good reason. The people and culture are warm and welcoming. Yet there is great darkness there that shows itself in hunger, disease, the demonic and child marriage. ACTION International has been working there for a while now and has a Bible College where former witch doctors are becoming Pastors. Only Jesus can transform lives like that. It is such a privilege to be with them this summer. .. being Jesus to the multitudes that need physical and spiritual food. I asked our translator there why witch doctors are so successful there in the villages still. He said quietly: "It's because they are there". Maybe you are called to be there this summer... to be Jesus among them.
The Team You will train with a small team of individuals who have been approved from different parts of North America. The team will be led by someone from AV and partnering with our hosts in Malawi. There are other ACTION full time workers in the area including a Bible College.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the current ACTION COVID-related Policies?
1. RECEIPTS: The return of donations only applies if the trip is canceled due to COVID restrictions or government regulations. If donations were made in cash, credit card, cheque, or money order they will be returned in kind. In other words; cash/cheque will be returned by cheque, credit card by credit card, and money order by money order.
2. QUARANTINE: Costs of quarantine will only be covered by ACTION'S insurance if a team member gets sick with covid and has to quarantine in a hotel. Quarantine-on-arrival, when the team member is not sick, will not be covered through ACTIONS insurance but will need to be covered by the team member.
3. VACCINATIONS: Not required by ACTION but highly recommended by most countries and airlines.
Tips on raising funds?
1. Pray and ask God to lead you.
2. Talk to your local church leader(s) about your desire to serve in this way and get him or them to pray for you. It is important that you get the support of your local church.
3. After you're application is approved we will give you some ideas about fundraising. In this day of Social Media, it will be important to wait until you are approved.
4. Writing a prayer letter is usually one of the most effective ways to raise funds. You will need to bounce it off of our office so that we can add the ACTION logo, charitable status information, and pledge cards.
5. Post it online or mail it to your closest friends and family.

Ephesians 3
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know (experiencially and intimately) this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
